Salvador Dalí – Theatre Museum, Figueres

Dalí rebuilt the old municipal theatre in Figueres, turning it into his own ‘Theatre-Museum’ and the largest surrealistic object in the world. As well as his own work, Dalí also included works by other artists, like El Greco and Marià Fortuny. He also created a set of works expressly for the Theatre-Museum, such as the Mae West Room, the Wind Palace Room, the Monument to Francesc Pujols and the Rainy Cadillac. Dalí is buried in the crypt at the museum. The museum has a focus on education and guided tours suitable for all age groups are provided in English or Spanish.
